Academic Standards
The CTE Emergency Dispatcher suite curriculum align to CTE Anchor and Pathway standards and Career Readiness standards. Unlike many occupational CTE courses, the CTE Emergency Dispatcher suite was created by individuals with extensive curriculum development and emergency dispatching experience. The result is a comprehensive occupational CTE course suite designed and constructed specifically for application in secondary and adult education.

Occupational Training Standards
The CTE Emergency Dispatcher course suite align to emergency telecommunications industry training standards. MindFLEX Education utilizes both technical and certification services of the National Emergency Communication Institute (NECI).
NECI has been providing educational content to the emergency telecommunications industry since 1996 and their content complies with the Associated Public-Safety Communications Officers (APCO) ANSI National Public Safety 9-1-1 Training Standard, National Emergency Number Association (NENA) 56-004 – TTY/TDD Call Handling Standard, NENA 56-005 - NENA Call Answering Standard and the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) 1061.
No day is ever routine - one call may be a minor traffic accident, while the next is a frantic voice screaming for help. - California Highway Patrol Dispatcher
The CTE Emergency Dispatcher suite is comprised of secondary and adult education courses and is ideal for administrators and educators seeking to enhance their organization's current selection of CTE courses.
I want to be a 911 dispatcher more than anything. I want to make sure I have done everything I can to prepare so that if I fail, I'll know it wasn't because I didn't try hard enough."
